James Fite

James C. Fite

I have joined Alan for this endeavor because I feel that The Whack Word is truly something great. We all want to be a part of something great, right? After hearing about Alan’s idea, I just had to be a part of it. We’ve been building the dream together ever since!

I have been a freelance writer and editor since 2009. I have worked a wide variety of factory and restaurant jobs in my life, and I knew it was time for a change. After a lifetime of reading and a decade of casual writing, professional editing and writing was the perfect career change.

While the bulk of my professional writing experience has been academic in nature, my true passion is creative writing. It is the act of creation that draws me to creative writing. When I write, the places become places that I have been or could go. The people become alive; they become new old friends. As an editor and ghostwriter, I help my clients build their cities and countries, and helps birth their characters and teach them to be the men and women that they must become.

I live with my fiancé, Heather, and our two dogs in Hot Springs, Arkansas in a small cottage on Lake Hamilton. If not busy reading or writing something, I’ll either be in the kitchen cooking, working on the latest batch of home brewed beer or wine, or out in the wilderness hunting or fishing.
